I have been investing my own money since 2020, when I was sixteen. I research theses, execute them, track performance, and write the post-mortem when a call goes wrong. This is where my interest in markets actually started, well before the finance degree.
How I run it
It is a real portfolio with real money, so the feedback is honest. I hold equities and crypto, think about asset allocation deliberately rather than by accident, and keep a record so I can go back and check whether a thesis played out for the reasons I expected or just got lucky.
The habit of writing down what went wrong is the through-line between this and everything else I do. It is the same discipline the trading bot automates and the same one the SMIF role demands.
