Cameron Cassar

// About

A finance analyst who writes his own software.

I am Cameron Cassar, a final-year Bachelor of Business student majoring in Finance at Griffith University in Brisbane, graduating December 2026.

01 // Background

Finance, built on code.

I carry a real programming and data background into the finance work, and that is the whole point of how I work.

I can run a DCF, and I can also write the Python that automates the drudgery around it. The two sides are not separate skills to me. They are the same job done properly.

02 // Origin

Where markets started for me.

I have been investing my own money since 2020, when I was sixteen. That is where the interest came from, well before any course told me it should.

Running a real portfolio taught me to write down what I expected to happen and then check it against what actually did. That habit is the through-line for everything else.

03 // Now

What I am doing now.

I am an equity analyst on the Griffith Student Managed Investment Fund, a live $600,000 university-managed portfolio, running full-cycle research and defending recommendations to an Investment Committee.

Alongside that I build practical automation tools for an accounting practice, turning repetitive, high-volume work into Python and AI pipelines, and I develop an automated trading platform in Python. I am also a member of the Griffith Student Investment Association, where I contribute research to weekly discussions.
